Position Title: Freelance Director (Part-time, On call)

A Freelance Director will work with the client to produce best in class multimedia content for all Lines of Business (LoB). This person will be a key resource to manage overflow and capacity with assigned Videographers, Editors and Motion Graphic Animators.
A Freelance Director, you will be responsible for Directing and/or Producing Multimedia/multi-channel content. A Freelance Director will exhibit best in class visual storytelling skills and elevating the content capabilities.
A Freelance Director consistently seeks to enhance the quality of production and level of creativity generated by team members and stays abreast of best in class multi-channel production techniques, digital technology, communications, digital trends, design and marketing/advertising innovations.
•Project confidence and superior skill on set with both internal and external on camera talent.
•Help direct and motivate a small on location Production team including any Videographers or Production Assistants.
•Work with the Creative Director and creative teams to support the process of story planning, presenting, shooting and producing best in class motion content.
•Endeavour to assign all projects, large or small, the attention to detail required so that work is on-time, on-budget and on-strategy.
•Work with the Creative Director, creative teams and other Agency partners to produce on-brand, on-concept stills and motion content.
•Work with Creative Operations and Producers to Direct all aspects of content production: e.g. locations (scouting and coordination), talent (including casting & talent recommendations), lighting, props and stylists when and if needed.
•Work with the Videographer/Editor and Production Assistants to shoot, edit and master all relevant motion content.
•Create an environment that places on camera talent at ease and direct them to get the best and intended performance.
•Manage continuity and shot list during the shoot to ensure all content is capture as required.
•Partner with Creative Operations and Marketing Finance in the management of production budgets, internal cost transfers and actualizing invoices.
•Liaise with the internal and external teams on file sharing, image usage negotiation and shoot planning.
•Partner with the account team to maintain an awareness of status and project deliverables to achieve effective and efficient outcomes.
•7+ yrs of video production exp.
•Expert in on camera Direction & Post-Production Supervision.
•Exp. capturing stills & motion content at live events & interviewing Sr. executives
•Portfolio of launched work showing best in class production expertise in studio & location video production.
•Highly developed skills in Directing & Interviewing both professional (Actors) & non-professional talent (Senior Executives, Wealth Advisors, other Financial Professionals)
•Understand basic lighting, sound capture & camera operation techniques.
•Proficient with: Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects & Audition)
•Bachelor's degree & equivalent exp.
NICE TO HAVE:
•Basic web development: HTML/CSS, Adobe Edge CC Suite, Dreamweaver, Adobe Muse.
•External Media or Agency exp.
•In-House Agency exp,
•Able to travel occasionally to assist with select production projects
•Adept at supporting and collaborating with creative teams to ensure strategic integrity and production excellence from start of project to finish.
•Excellent communication and presentation skills.
•Strong time management and creative resource management capabilities.
•Strong organizational skills must be able to independently manage time and set priorities.
