Analyst- Product Control

Typical Day in Role
– Assemble spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs used to illustrate technical reports
– Analyze financial information to produce forecast of business, industry, and economic conditions for use in making investment decisions
– Run P&L (Profit and Loss) report for prime brokerage business
– Reconcile reporting P&L to the Bank’s leger
– Perform any ad-hoc analysist based on the senior manager’s requests
– Communicating primarily with the Senior Manager and working with GWO, Risk Management and Trading desk
– 80% independent workload 20% working collaboratively with the Team

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
– 0-3 years of experience in fund accounting or related financial discipline
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
– Previous Financial Analyst experience
– Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
– Excellent knowledge of Accounting/Finance
– Knowledge of economic and accounting principles, the financial markets, and reporting of financial data

Nice-To-Have Skills:
– Someone who has passed the CFE (Common Financial Exam) exam for the CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) designation
– Someone who has passed CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) at level 1 or level 2

Soft Skills:
– Excellent communication skills
– Attention to detail
– Someone who is friendly, works well collaboratively with others

Degrees or certifications:
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
– CFE exam for the CPA designation
– CFA – level 1 or level 2
