Business group: Solution Architecture & Engineering – team works most closely with Global Human Resources team – part of GHRIT
Project: Solution Architecture & Engineering is seeking a ETL Developer to work on business as usual doing general ongoing support for the applications to cover for the individual on mat leave

Typical Day in Role
– Primarily building ETL’s and supporting interfaces between the bank and multiple vendors
– Design and develop solutions to resolve complex, multi-faceted problems to meet the business needs of HR related systems. Ability to wear multiple hats at a time to run with multiple ongoing projects.
– Provide 3rd level application support in a timely fashion at times when required across multiple business units globally. Provide assistance to other team members during UAT testing and production rollout.
– Keep current on rapidly changing technological trends and maintain an understanding of the Division’s business and technology strategies.
– Maintain technical design documentation as required and contribute to ongoing definition of standards and Software Development Lifecycle processes.
– Not only work in a highly collaborative environment, but also come up with the ideas to further promote collaboration and efficiencies within the organization.
– Conducts routine and non-routine services and activities with minimal supervision
– Responded to queries of limited complexity, often of a sensitive and confidential nature.
– Provides functional guidance to junior team members.
– Identifies need for policy and procedural modification.
– Identifies and independently resolves routine issues as well as non-routine issues of limited complexity.
– Proposes solutions to moderately complex issues.

– Works closely with customers, Business Analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.
– Involved in the full systems life cycle and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing and supporting applications software that is delivered on time and within budget.
– Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code.
– Responsibilities may also include participation in component and data architecture design; performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations.
– Provides guidance and training to less experienced analysts and programmers.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 5 – 7 years of experience with ETL Development
2) 5-7 years experience with Microsoft SSIS/SSRS (2014+) technologies / data management development
3) 3-5 years of experience with Windows/Linux environment and proficient in shell scripting, as well as standard encryption tools such as PGP
4) 3-7 years of experience with major transport protocols: FTP, SFTP and other SSH connectivity tools.
5) Must have excellent T-SQL development skills for Microsoft SQL 2008+
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) Experience with Java development would be an asset
2) Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (2018) would be an asset
Soft Skills:
Degrees or certifications:
Computer Bachelor’s degree (equivalent or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
