Digital Sales Analyst
Typical Day in Role:
• Responsible for measuring, analyzing, and managing performance of Digital Sales across multiple business lines to drive towards our strategic sales targets for Canadian Retail Banking
• Responsible for understanding how marketing, seasonality, campaign cycles and processes impact digital sales across all digital sales channels, including Authenticated (owned) and public channels.
• As a member of the Digital Sales Growth & Engagement team, will be involved in supporting digital sales reporting, in-year sales performance management and identifying opportunities to drive value through strategic initiatives.
• Partner with Business lines, Digital Journey Managers, Digital Acquisition Specialists, and other Marketers to ensure that the bank positively performs to the annual and strategic digital sales targets
• Partner with Digital analytics to support monthly reporting and ad-hoc requests to generate insights in an effort drive performance management across multiple business lines and Digital Sales overall
• Partner with Product teams and Business Partners to provide a digital sales lens for ongoing and upcoming initiatives as a SME
• Help identify opportunities to drive digital sales in both the short term and long term
• Develop frameworks and processes to manage roadmaps and strategic initiatives
• Participate in the weekly storyboard/report for each product under the team’s mandate to distribute to Digital Marketing counterparts – includes a look at overall Digital Sales units, looking at how many more products can be sold, if it is on par with weekly average;
working closely with the digital sales strategy team and with various business lines to understand what is happening with each product – e.g. is seasonality affecting it
contributes to the monthly report which goes out to the Digital Marketing partners but also to internal business lines
• Breakdown of day to day:
o 30-40% pulling in the sales numbers
o 30% populating numbers within slide decks and excel sheets, building graphs, extrapolating commentary and insights
o 15% supporting HM on presenting information to necessary partners, interacting with the internal digital sales strategy team on not just reporting but thinking about overall strategic recommendations based on the weekly and monthly sales data
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 1+ years of experience in an Analyst type of role (e.g., Business Analyst, Data Analyst)
2) 1+ years of Data Analysis experience – being able to relay findings through tools like Excel, PPT
3) 1+ years of experience in a performance reporting/analysis role
4) Some level of experience with digital marketing/digital banking (e.g. through an internship)
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) Experience with Tableau
2) Experience with Adobe Analytics
3) Experience with Power BI
Soft Skills Required:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Knows how to identify opportunities through insights to drive performance for digital sales
• Experienced with building relationships and influencing decision making at senior levels of engagement
• Passionate about aligning strategy to business goals
• Has proven success working collaboratively within cross-functional and distributed teams based on strong team spirit, solid work ethic and good communication skills
Education:
A bachelor’s degree, or related relevant work experience within digital sales environments
