• Project: Sourcing market data for different projects.
• Reason for request: GBM -This resource is required for the deliverables IRIS project
Candidate Value Proposition
– The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with new stack technologies such as Docker, SpringBoot, and Kubernetes, as well as using Cassandra database.
Typical Day in Role
• Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications
• Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts
• Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution
• Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area
• Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment
• Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner
• Daily scrum where they discuss production issues to start the day and update on their tasks and timelines
• Agile environment where contractors will need to work independently without hand-holding
• Primarily will be adding code to existing projects and undertaking enhancement activities (will be building net new code)
• Communicating with developers, manager, BAs and possible the traders (users)
• 40% back end building core services, but 60% of the job will be UI development
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
• 8+ years’ experience using Java (Spring Boot, microservices)
• 2-3+ years’ experience using Angular (11 preferable)
• Proficient in Unix/Linux
• Proficient in CIAD tools
• Experience with deployment in Docker/K8n
• Hands on experience in designing, developing and successful deployment of large scale projects from end-to-end
• Hands on experience in following the iterative and agile SDLC
Nice-To-Have Skills:
• No SQL/ Database experience
• Python
• Airflow
• Cassandra
• Capital Markets Exposure
Soft Skills:
• Able to work autonomously
• Someone willing to step up and be a good team player
Best vs Average: Self-starter, who is highly motivated. Ability to deliver with minimal oversight.
Degrees or certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
