Story Behind the Need
Business group: GWO – Operations Change –Responsible for managing projects on behalf on Global Wholesale Operations, ensuring operations are represented and managed appropriately.
Project: Operations is currently searching for a qualified candidate to participate in the Operational Workstream supporting the upcoming Central Securities Depository Regulation (CSDR) project. This role will require ongoing regular tasks and tracking issues and risks into the program.

Typical Day in Role:
• Assist with the daily and monthly reporting associated with the Central Securities Depository Regulation embedded within Settlements and Clearing Operations
• Drive analysis to inform later automation of the process as a component of the phase II project deliverables, and create documentation
• Provide feedback for operations issues, risks and opportunities, and input into the automation workstream
• Work directly with Settlements Director and project team
• Manage day to day trade reconciliation, and monthly penalty reconciliation – capturing and developing mitigation plans for operation issues and risks as a result of the regulation
• Will be required to attend meetings and do presentations on their findings to the team and stakeholders
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1. 3- 5 years of experience in Capital Markets, specifically in security operations, and preferably within banking
2. 1-3 years of experience in a project-based role
3. Proven experience with various industry trade execution and matching and settlement platforms – Broadridge, EuroClear, ClearStream, BNP Paribas
4. Proven experience interpreting regulatory rules to provide business logic and requirements
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1. CSDR experience- Familiarity with the regulation or prior experience in a project based around this regulation
2. High level of skill in Excel and VBA – for running and performing reconciliation tasks

Education: Post-secondary – experience preferred
