Capital Markets Business Analyst
Location: Toronto (WFH for now)
Contract Duration: 1 year (target start date: March 7) – possibility of extension
Schedule Hours: 9-5, Monday- Friday, regular business hours (37.5 hours per week)

Story behind the need: Need Business Analyst support for G20 OTC regulatory reporting ongoing remediation efforts
Business group: GWO – Operations Control – Regulatory Trade Reporting- Supports the capital markets global business market team. Mandate is to ensure compliance with regards to regulatory reporting. (Part of global wholesale operations).
Project: Assist with G20 OTC regulatory reporting

Typical Day in the role:
– Soliciting and writing business requirements in response to the regulation
– Executing and creating test cases
– Defining business solutions for the requirements
– Building controls around the solution (process, database solution)
– Reading rules and understanding business requirement, writing test cases
– Interact with the following stakeholders: Technology group, compliance, legal and other business stakeholders (confirmations, settlements)
– 40-50% in meetings/ working groups to understand how everything comes together and overall impact
Must have skills:
1. 5+ years of experience in G20 trade reporting to SDR such as DTCC/UnaVista
2. 7+ years as a BA, WITH 3+ Capital Markets experience
3. Solid knowledge of DTCC trade reporting specs
4. Excellent knowledge of cross jurisdictional G20 trade reporting rules – (ie. CFTC, OSC, SCC, ASAC, MAS)
5. Well balanced understanding of regulations in business and technology
6. CFTC trade experience or reconciliation experience
Nice to have skills:
1. Experience with Wall Street, MUREX trading systems
2. Prior hands on experience working with DTCC
