Story Behind the Need:
Business group: Support the collateral management funding (CMF) desk and will be mainly supporting the Anvil upgrade.
Project: Seeking a Capital Market Business Analyst to work with the Anvil upgrade project – upgrading from 8 to Anvil 9. Looking for someone to help with phase two and phase 3 – doing some migrations with settlements systems – phase 3 is retirement of the old Anvil version and the backend reporting database

Typical Day in Role:
– The main function of a Business Analyst is to perform the analysis, design, implementation, modification, and daily functional support of all applications
– Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies
– Gathers requirements from business units and translates those to programmers and developers
– Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities
– Supports one or more highly complex business processes
– Works on multiple projects as a project team member
– Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs
– Design and implementation of the settlements system migrations
– Settlements systems are directly connected to old versions of anvil
– The BA will design, implement, test, etc on the solution to have Anvil 9 connect directly to settlement systems
– Phase 3 will be working on downstream analysis
– Defining scope for downstream impacts
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 10+ years of experience in a similar BA role
2) 7+ years of experience with Capital markets related projects
3) 5+ years of experience with Unix
4) 5+ years of experience with SQL
Nice-To-Have Skills:
– ION – Anvil Platform experience is a nice to have
– Possibly in capital managements, cash markets fixed income world is where they likely will have had it
– Fixed income experience
– Experience with third party trading platforms (ION)
– Knowledge of the fixed income / repo / collateral management
Soft Skills:
– Self-starter that actively engages issues seeking resolution, ability to meet dynamic changes on prioritization
– Excellent communications skills to coordinate with high ranking individuals internally
– Ability to manage assigned tasks and expectations without direct instruction or oversight

Degrees or certifications:
– Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
