Business Architect
Typical Day in Role:
• Work on multiple projects with Director, Business Architecture to stand-up Business Architecture Artifacts and Processes (e.g., business capability maps, business architecture modelling) following Enterprise Business Architecture Standards
• Participates in development of FCRM Business Architecture Strategy and Guiding Principles
• Develop and maintain Business Architecture Capability Maturity Models for Financial Crimes (Transaction monitoring, Customer Risk Rating, Name Scanning, Payment Scanning, List Management, Fraud)
• Manage efforts to identify & document capabilities & initiative needs & strategic prioritization into business architecture deliverables (roadmaps, etc.)
• Identify impacts to Business Capabilities by participating in transformation programs & initiatives
• Map processes to business capabilities as per enterprise standards and collaborating with appropriate SMEs
• Oversee modelling & support approval for updates to business architecture models for the business domain
• Engage in all phases of ongoing critical initiatives including target state definition, design & execution, as well as having deep knowledge of all systems and processes in the business domain
• Support various initiatives across teams, by identifying relevant opportunities for rationalization, transformation & simplification
• Analyze the industry & market trends to determine new & potential business capabilities
• Participate in agile squads/sprints to support the delivery of enhancements to existing capabilities or new capabilities and functions
Governance & Standards Alignment
• Participate in Architecture Governance Forums to prepare and present materials for necessary approvals
• Ensure solutions developed across organization are aligned to enterprise architecture standards/principles and leverage common solutions & services
Business Artefacts Consolidation
• Update mapping of business & technology capabilities to the target state processes, technology capabilities & applications, customer/employee experiences (technology components to be completed by Technology Architect)
• Create appropriate process documentation and storing in central business architecture repository
• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with our Values, Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) Experience creating presentation decks and presenting to executives
2) Understanding of Business Architecture principles and Domains (mapping, modelling)
3) 3-5 years Previous Consulting Experience (in FI)
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) Previous experience in a Business Architectural role
2) ACAMS Certification
3) Business Architecture Certification (CBA)
4) MBA
