Business Analyst
Typical Day in Role:
The business analyst on CCAU Engineering team is a bridge between multiple parties including Product, Design, Delivery, Engineering teams and our Technology partners, responsible for delivering exciting products in CCAU DF.
• Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies – interacting with Product, Design, Front-end and Back-end Teams
• Gathers requirements from business units and translates those to programmers and developers
• Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities
• Supports one or more highly complex business processes
• Works on multiple projects as a project team member Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs
• Works with senior managers to estimate projects in terms of timelines and costs
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in a challenging IT system solution agile environment
2) 5+ years’ experience working with internal and external development teams (SMEs, developers, testers), product owners, UX designers
3) 5+ years’ experience with Online (Web) & Mobile Apps (preferably Banking, FinTech), Microapps and Microservices architecture (all are required)
4) 3+ years’ basic hands-on experience with
• JIRA
• Confluence
• MS Office suite, MS Project
• Postman
• Basic SQL
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) Technical background is an asset
2) Prior FI / Banking experience preferred

• Strong presentation, facilitation, analysis, logical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently with focus on time management to meet deadlines
• Ability to simplify complex situations, and navigate ambiguity
• Ability to negotiate (able to express oneself clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing) effectively to manage coordination of complex activities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups, managers and subject matter experts
• Extensive experience with aligning stakeholders and communicating information that enables leaders, teams and stakeholders to have transparency on underlying issues and potential solutions in varying settings including workshops, small group sessions or one-on-one meetings
• Ability to hit the ground running
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or any technical degree
