Typical Day in Role
– Discussions with various treasury desks on how funding is currently sourced and how reporting is used
– Reviewing and assessing data and system processing enhancements will be required to implement the funding desk
– Working with asset and liability management reporting
– Attending meetings with stakeholders across treasury and treasury’s IT support functions
– Will be responsible for self-directed work as it is given to them
– Working with MS Office (Excel, PPT, Word etc.)
– Building and generating draft reporting of what may then be automated by IT in the future
– Working with large data sets/database applications such as SQL
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
– 5+ years of financial industry experience with some exposure to treasury
– 5+ years of experience working with large data sets and/or database applications
– 3+ years of experience working with MS Office (Advanced knowledge)
– 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
Nice-To-Have Skills:
– Prior asset liability management experience
– Prior knowledge working with database applications (Talend, Python, Tableau, PowerBI)
– The BA should have some Treasury and/or Treasury data background such as dealing with RDARR, IRRBB, or FTP. PMP preferred.
Soft Skills:
– Excellent communication skills
– Attention to detail
– Works well with others/collaboratively
– Excellent time management and organizational skills
Degrees or certifications:
– PMP (Project Management), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), FRM (Financial Risk Manager) preferred but not required.
– Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree is preferred.
