Job: Business Analyst – Senior
Location: Toronto, ON
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
• Analyze, interpret, assess value, help rationalize and document existing CRIMS Workflow Monitor rules
• Identify owners of Workflow Monitor rules
• Recommend and document changes to existing Workflow Monitor rules
• Help construct new logic for Workflow Monitor rules
• Assist, as necessary with the conversion of existing Workflow Monitor rules to release 18R1 – following technology implementation protocols and direction
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing on Workflow Monitor rules (new or modified)
• Technology will be responsible to migrate rules to production, once tested and signed off
• Document ongoing change management process to be followed post-implementation
• May work on Compliance rule updates, as necessary, depending on BPB Ops resourcing constraints
Deliverables
1. Documented Workflow Monitor Inventory – Existing and New PME Rules
a. Description of each Workflow Monitor
i. Concise English description
ii. Purpose and rationale
iii. Intended workgroup recipient (owner group)
iv. Type of alert (dashboard, email)
v. Permissions
b. English description of logic used to create rule
2. Request for Changes to existing Workflow Monitor Rules
a. For WFM rules which need changes, document:
i. The nature of the change
ii. The proposed English logic of the change
iii. The required permissions
iv. The required recipients
v. The required alert mechanism (dashboard vs. email)
3. Existing Workflow Monitor Conversion document
a. Documented permission or other changes required to convert each existing rule to be carried forward
4. Documented process for change requests re WFMs post implementation
TOP SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
• Expertise with creating, interpreting, testing and modifying Charles River Workflow Monitor rules (using a recent version of Charles River) – must demonstrate detailed understanding of syntax involved in constructing and interpreting Workflow Monitor rules.
• Knowledge of Charles River Workflow Monitor upgrade process.
• Experience documenting Charles River Workflow Monitor rules, including creation and maintenance of an inventory of rules.
• Demonstrated ability to work with users to refine and enhance Charles River Workflow Monitor rules.
• Demonstrated ability to understand, explain and use standard or user-defined database fields in the construction of Workflow Monitor rules.
• Demonstrated ability to work with both Technical and End User stakeholders
• Working knowledge of Charles River Compliance Rules, including set-up, maintenance, interpretation, invocation.
• Knowledge of Best Practices for Charles River Compliance Rules and Workflow Monitor Rules
• Thorough understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
• Effective communication (listening, written and verbal) skills.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all levels of the organization
• Logical thinker and quick learner
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
• Working knowledge or previous work with Charles River Investment Management System or similar Discretionary Investment Management system.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
