Business Analyst- Capital Markets

Typical Day in Role:
• Work closely with Senior Business Analysts to understand the existing application
• Work closely with Developers on assigned tasks
• Gather information and translate the business requirements and processes into Jira
• Documenting requirements and processes in Confluence for future reference
• Document test evidence according to the PXV standards
• Provide support with unit testing, integration testing and UAT testing
• Communicate with user for sign-off

Candidate Requirements/Must-Have skills:
1. 8+ years of technical experience as a Business Analyst on a technology or application team
2. 5+ years’ experience working within Capital Markets – Experience with interest rate products preferred
3. 2+ years of working experience using Confluence and Jira for documenting purposes
4. Exposure to Markitwire and ICE Link

Nice-To-Have Skills:
• Previous exposure to the banking industry/financial services is preferred
• Exposure to regulatory processes within Capital Markets
• Exposure to accounting and settlement processes with Capital Markets

Soft Skills:
• Ability to work as part of a team, as well as work independently or with minimal direction
• Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills to be able to work well with technical peers and business stakeholders at different levels within the organization
• Strong decision making, forward thinking and creative problem-solving skills to anticipate and respond quickly to technological/market influences

Education:
• Post-secondary degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related IT field required
