Job Title: Android Developer
Location: WFH (once on site – Toronto)
Contract Length: 3 months (potential for extension based on funding & performance)
Our large financial client is seeking an Android Developer, required for Project Argon (Antigua Divesture). This divesture is planned in the upcoming months (end of Mar 2021, for now) and we need to hire an Android developer asap, to work on rebranding and creating a new native wrapper app for Antigua.

Typical Day in the Role:
– Developing and enhancing existing codes in Android Platforms
– Supporting the App as needed
– Analyzing, enhancing and testing codes before going into production
– Unit testing on existing codes
Must Have Skills
1) Android Development – 5+ years of hands on experience
2) Java – 5+ years of hands on experience
3) Kotlin – 5+ years of hands on experience
4) RxJava + OkHttp + Retrofit – 5+ years (with each) of hands on experience
5) Strong concept of the MVP and MVVM architectures (implemented some apps using these architectures) – 5+ years of hands on experience
6) Experience with Accessibility (implement accessibility related functions onto app – code, etc.) – 5+ years of hands on experience
7) Unit Testing – 5+ years of hands on experience
8) GitFlow – 5+ years of hands on experience
9) Google PlayStore app launch experience – 5+ years of hands on experience
Nice To Have Skills:
– iOS Developer experience
– Recent Mobile Development experience Online banking on Canada or international side
– Agile/Scrum
– FI/Banking experience (Big 5 Bank preferred*)
Education:
– Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science
