Senior Business Analyst

Role: Business Analyst IV (Project: Record Keeping & surveillance– MiFID II Phase 2) Duration: 6 months Location: Toronto, ON JOB DESCRIPTION: The main function of a business analyst is to analyze science, engineering, business and all other data processing problems for application to electronic data processing systems. A typical business analyst is responsible for analyzing user requirements, procedures and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations. RESPONSIBILITIES: -Gather requirements from business units and translate those to programmers and developers. -Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation. -Confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs. -Coordinate and link the computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility and so information can be shared. MUST HAVE -8-10+ yrs exp. as a BA in Regulatory space (in Capital markets or Wholesale banking) -Exp. working with high level requirements (Hands on exp. -not theoretical) -Exp. liaising with other groups to document & communicate for delivery (including tech. team) -Exp. delivering/driving requirement documentation (but not a Project Mgr.)(i.e. Tell mgr. where they are at in a project & also inform what else is needed to lead fruition – not just follow instructions) -Have excellent presentation skills & advanced PowerPoint
